I took a screenshot from Hellraiser and followed the attached image and the design in the PDF (
I will make another note of the process.
It\'s just about physical build).
I use a CNC router to carve these designs, but for those that do not have access to a CNC router, I have attached a PDF of the box\'s vectorized version, which you can print, cut, and fold into a model on gold paper.
For an additional challenge, you can etching the PDF onto brass using the toner transfer method. Happy Halloween!
This will be a great accessory for Pinhead clothing.

You need to cut a piece from 6mm pieces of plywood large enough to stick all the veneer.
Or, if you have one, you can use a piece of high-quality dark wood that is 6mm thick.

2: 16, apply the pva glue thin and evenly on the 6mm layer, and press the veneer on the glue.
Place a plastic bag or plastic cloth on the veneer, place the flat waste wood on it, and then weigh or clamp the waste wood.
Plastic will prevent the waste wood from sticking to the veneer.
Wait 24 hours for the glue to dry.
After 12 hours, you can take out the waste wood and plastic to help the glue dry faster.
2: 43 use the table saw edge and cut 9-
Single board layer 10 cm wide.

3: 08 remove the sled from the table saw and tilt the blade 45 degrees.
Set the table saw rail so that the veneer surface of the wood will be cut to 8 cm wide. (
The guide is 67mm away from the blade, for my 5-6mm thick plate).
Cut the 45 degree angle to the edge of the veneer strip.
3: 33 write down the distance between the guide rail and the table saw blade, then tilt the blade back 90 degrees and put the sled back on the table saw.
Trim the rough ends of each paneling strip at 3: 38.
3: 45, set the station saw sled on the table to only one width from the blade.
Then, when you cut a block from it, push the strap to the stop.
This will make sure that the pieces you cut off from the stripes are completely square.
Cut as many of these 8x8 cm squares from the strip as possible
If you get more than 6, it means you can make some mistakes on the CNC router!
4: 03 remove the table saw sled, tilt the blade to 45 degrees, and set the guide rail to the same distance as the blade you wrote down before.
Cut 45 degrees on the straight edge of the last cut.
So now you should have 45 degrees on the edges of all your squares.
4: 20 The Test put 6 pieces together to form a cube.
They should be together and there is no big gap on the edge.
Use the easel to engrave the black and white images attached to this manual on the veneer square. . I used a 0.
8mm Dremel engraving bit, but V-bit with V-
Carving can produce huge results.
4: 23 before importing the image, I set the bit size in the new Easel project to 0.

4: 39 import pictures, click import-> Image trace.
Click Upload file and select one of the black and white pictures.
Adjust the smoothing until the preview stops showing the jagged.
Click reverse because the white area in the image needs to be recessed in the engraving.

Engraving or other grbl cnc router, you can set a square in the machine and cut it now.
But if you are running another CNC router like me, you need to download G-code.
I made another Instructure to support this and it details how to run Easel G-
Code on other types of CNC machines: set up a single board square on the bed of the CNC router.
I press and hold the square with double sided tape.
You can vacuum it.
When I stick them down, I press on the y-axis with an engineer\'s square to make sure the wood is aligned with the machine\'s shaft.
6: 05, follow the previous easel/CNC steps to carve each of the 3 designs and make 6 sides of the box.
Collect wood dust when you cut.
You will use it later to make the wood filler.
6: 50 on each square, polish any rough edges in the blowout/engraving around a flat piece of wood or sand with 1200 sandpaper.
7: 04 brush the carving thoroughly and remove all the wood dust.
Any dust left will be stuck in the paint.
Spray prints with a layer of gold paint.
Protect the surface under them with plastic bags!
7: 43, when the paint is touched and dried, polish the paint from the raised areas of each square.
Wrap the sandpaper around a flat piece of wood or sand and be very careful not to polish the gold paint off the carved recessed part.
Start grinding each piece with 400 sandpaper and then use 1200 sandpaper to polish the veneer when most of the paint disappears.
At 8: 16, brush the prints again.
Spray prints with car paint.
Place the engraving on a smooth and clean working surface.
Arrange them as shown in the video.
8: 57 use blue masking tape to tape the edges adjacent to each other.
Ensure accurate alignment of edges.
When you go, face the pieces down.
9: 28, apply the pva glue along the edges of all 45 degrees.
Fold the pieces together along the edge of the tape.
As more edges meet, stick them together.
When you go, wipe the glue from the outside of your hands and edges to avoid damaging the outside of the cube.
Keep the glue dry for 24 hours and remove the tape.
At 10: 40, make some wood filler by mixing 5 ml of the pva glue with the wood dust you collect from the engraving.
The filler should have putty-
Cover the edges of the gold pattern on the cube at 10: 55, and the sides of the Edge reveal about 1mm of wood.
Apply the filler to a small gap on each edge of the cube at 11: 00.
The wood filler should be dried in a few hours.
I left it all night for sure.
When dry, remove the tape and polish the filled edge with a small piece of 400 sandpaper.
Be careful not to dirty the gold area.
Wipe the cube with a micro-fiber cloth and clear all the wood dust.
Place the cube on a platform smaller than its base at 12: 00 and paint the five sides.
12: 20 when the paint was dry, turn the box over and finish the paint on the sixth floor. That\'s it!
Just don\'t try to solve this problem; )
